Established in 1992 with the assistance of the Austrian government, the Austrian Children's Hospital of Gyumri was the only multi-field healthcare facility in Shirak Marz. It provided comprehensive pediatric and obstetric care to the region. In 2008, the hospital was integrated into the Gyumri Medical Center as part of a national healthcare optimization program. The facility continues to offer specialized services under the Gyumri Medical Center umbrella.
