The CHU Hôpital Universitaire Annaba is a prominent regional healthcare, teaching, and research institution in eastern Algeria, serving as a referral center for a population of approximately 3 million residents. The complex includes several specialized units, such as the Hôpital Ibn Rochd, Hôpital Ibn Sina, Hôpital Dorban, Clinique Pédiatrique Sainte-Thérèse, and more, which together cover a wide range of specialties and patient needs. The CHU is recognized for both advanced medical care and as a robust hub for clinical training and research, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of Annaba.
