Dr. Jeser Amarante Faria Children's Hospital is located in the city of Joinville and was opened in 2008. The unit is part of the Public Hospital Network of the Santa Catarina State Health Department and, since the beginning of its activities, has been managed by the Nossa Senhora das Graças Hospital Group, under the management of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. The name of the institution honors Dr. Jeser Amarante Faria, the first pediatrician in the Joinville region.
