Hai Phong Children's Hospital was established in 1977 by the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, initially with 300 beds and support from German organizations. Over nearly 40 years, it has developed into the city’s leading pediatric center, now operating 36 departments with nearly 600 staff members. The hospital serves as a key provider of pediatric care for Hai Phong and neighboring provinces. It is a satellite hospital of the National Pediatric Hospital, offering advanced medical techniques and benefiting from international collaborations for training and skill enhancement. The hospital is currently executing five major projects to upgrade equipment, renovate facilities, expand surgical capabilities (especially for heart and cardiovascular interventions), improve wastewater treatment, and develop as a satellite hospital, with a total investment of over 240 billion VND
