Hospital dos Acidentados e Maternidade São Lucas was born from the dream of two doctors, Dr. Marcos Azevedo and his wife, architect Denyse Azevedo, and Dr. Jorge Hakozaki, with the goal of offering better health to the population of Cacoal and the surrounding region. Initially, the hospital had only the two founding doctors, 6 employees and 4 beds. Today, 36 years later, we have more than 100 doctors serving various specialties, more than 250 employees, 60 beds, 24-hour Adult and Pediatric Emergency Care, Surgical Center, Inpatient Ward, ICU, Hemodynamics Service, Maternity with Humanized Delivery Room.
