The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Puducherry looks after Administration of its field / subordinate institutions spread all over the Union Territory. The Director of Health and Family Welfare Services functioning as the Head of the Department is assisted by Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Senior Accounts Officer (SAO), Deputy Director (Stat.), Deputy Director (Plan) to undertake the Directorate's activities and the duties and responsibilities are divided on functional basis.There are 32 Sub-Offices / Programme Officers under the control of the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services including the Regional level offices situated at Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam.
