The story begins with the creation of the hemodialysis unit, originally named Médica Ideas. The goal was to serve patients with acute and chronic kidney failure, and the goal was to offer hemodialysis in the highland region of Mexico with a high capacity.

The goal of the medical unit was to improve the quality of life and life expectancy of these patients through the efficiency of specialized procedures carried out with cutting-edge professionalism, organization, and cutting-edge technology.

At this historic moment for kidney patient care services in Hidalgo, the outlook was bleak. No public or private institution had shown interest in the issue. There were no facilities, infrastructure, nephrologists, or specialized nurses, and therefore no administrative staff, etc., who would understand and contribute to the project's implementation. On the other hand, there was an urgent need to address the growing concern of kidney disease, which by then was already considered a public health issue. The number of kidney patients in the country was already considered a serious problem because it far exceeded the resources of the Mexican state.
