We are the governing body and health authority in Jalisco responsible for coordinating, orchestrating, and leading public and private institutions, along with organized society and citizens, to achieve the maximum possible protection and improvement of the health of the people of Jalisco.

The Ministry of Health has a legitimate aspiration in the present and a clear vision of its desired future, inspired by the call from society and the government to "Refund Jalisco." Over time, achieving this expectation for the future will contribute to Jalisco being recognized nationally as a "healthy state" and for having a health system organized under the separation of functions model. It will be a refounded health system strategically led by the Jalisco Ministry of Health, which works openly on health prevention, promotion, and protection actions, engaging all citizens so that they exercise their "constitutional right to health protection in an informed, conscious, and active manner."
