The National Taiwan University Hospital was founded in 1895 and was originally located in Dadaocheng, Taipei City. It moved to its current location (now called the West Site) in 1898. It was a wooden building at the time, and in 1912 it began to be renovated into a Renaissance-style tropical building. It was completed in 1921 and was the largest and most modern hospital in Southeast Asia at the time.
In 1991, the new building (now called the East Site) was completed, and the two hospitals were connected by the Jingfu underground passage. Currently, the number of employees exceeds 7,500, with more than 2,600 beds and more than 9,000 outpatient services per day. My family had an outpatient surgery on February 27th. Every nurse on the 9th floor of the pediatrician spoke softly and calmed my fear-prone heart. After I put on the intravenous needle, I said it didn’t hurt anymore. In fact, there was still a slight tingling sensation. The nurse noticed that my expression was slightly distorted and specifically asked me why, and took the initiative to help me adjust again. Thank you to every nurse, especially the nurse named Ye from the pediatrician, who patiently explained what I should pay attention to after surgery, and also cared and comforted me. I was very lucky to meet these kind-hearted angels. I felt the warmth of the nurses in the cold operating room. Warmth, I really feel that health insurance allows everyone to have access to good medical care.

The doctors are great. The nurse manager, the service provided by the nurses on the 11th and 10th floors is very professional and patient. Teach me and my wife a lot. Thank you so much. Of course, waiting on the first floor is also good! We may feel that the nurse asked too many questions at first, but in the end we are really grateful - because these questions are so important.

I am very grateful to the nursing staff at National Taiwan University Children’s Hospital and Dr. Hsieh Ching-yi from the Department of Rehabilitation, Dr. Tsai Tzu-hsun from the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department, Dr. Yang Shih-hong from the Pediatric Neurosurgery Department, and Dr. Li Zhengting from the Department of Pediatric Internal Medicine. The doctors and nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit have taken care of me since I was born until now. I love you.
