O’Connor Hospital was founded in 1889 as one of the first hospitals in Santa Clara County. O'Connor Hospital is one of four hospitals that make up Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), the healthcare delivery system that also includes Regional Medical Center, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, St. Louise Regional Hospital, and multiple primary, specialty and urgent care clinics.

The County of Santa Clara owns and operates SCVH, with hospitals and clinics operated by the County under a consolidated license from the California Department of Public Health. Santa Clara Valley Healthcare is part of the broader County of Santa Clara Health System.

Hospital Beds & Infrastructure

I recently had my daughter on March 5th at this hospital and it was the best decision I ever made! From the cleaning staff to the doctors, everyone gave me EXCELLENT care! They were super caring, respected my decisions and took great care of my allergies! Especially the anesthesiologist Eva Chen who was with me the whole time, carefully observing me! This is not just professionalism, it is love for what they do! I also want to thank Dr. Douglas who performed my C-section and the entire nursing team who were present throughout the entire process! Congratulations O'Connor for the super prepared team!
