The X-ray department at Halland Hospital Kungsbacka is a modern department equipped with advanced technology and competent staff.

In order to undergo an examination or treatment, you as a patient need to receive an X-ray referral. The examination is performed by a radiologist or radiology nurse. The radiologist assesses the images and writes answers that are sent to the referring doctor.

You may be examined with conventional X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound and bone density measurement depending on which part of the body is to be examined and what information the attending physician wants. We also provide treatment with relief for kidney and stomach problems and pain relief.

A health examination, ultrasound of the great aorta, is offered to all men aged 65. The examination is voluntary and free of charge.
