My step-father was recently brought by ambulance from Ajijic to Santa Maria Chapalita Hospital. His health situation was dire, and he needed a pacemaker. The care and concern shown by hospital and staff was amazing. Dr. Fernandez, the cardiologist guided us through the procedure, including a video of the work he did. I would HIGHLY recommend him. And Dra. Claudia, who works with geriatric patients was with my step-father every bit of the way--guiding him in re meds and explaining what was happening and why. I would recommend her also--HIGHLY. My step-father was using his Lakeside Medical membership and Lakeside took care of everything he needed. The hospital stabilized my step-father (Jim Schmith--20 years lakeside), gave him the pacemaker he desperately needed, and looked after him for a day or two to make certain all was going well. My eternal gratitude goes to Lakeside Medical and Santa Maria Chapalita Hospital and it's excellent staff. I would recommend this hospital 100%.

After reading so many negative reviews, we were concerned about this hospital. Everything was terrific! Minerva at reception was very helpful. Manual guided us to the room. The nurses were attentive during the night. The room was a good size with a patio- Even the sofa, was comfortable for my night's sleep. Parking was ample. Todo excelente! Si tu no hablas español, hay un poquito problema. la mayoría de la gente no habla mucho inglés. Pero tratan. Al fin, fue una buena experiencia. Lo recomendamos absolutamente.
