Founded in 1859 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) is the largest private, nonprofit hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. Located in downtown Honolulu, it serves as a major referral center for various specialties, including cancer, heart disease, neuroscience, orthopedics, surgery, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.

After passing out twice, I was brought in by ambulance. I thought I had the flu. I was in the ER on heart monitors for 4 hours. I was out in a hallway area where I could see just about everything going on! I was so impressed with the entire staff professionalism! Everyone was focused on doing their job well. Patients were pouring in. They ran out of rooms. Not once did their professionalism falter! My doctor was the best! He listened intently to my symptoms. He got it! As overwhelmed as he was with patients, he stayed with it by eliminating possibilities. On a hunch, he requested a CT scan of my lungs. There they found a hidden pneumonia. There is no doubt that he saved my life! Forget about the food, the ambiance, who they have in the lobby! This is not a party! It is about life or death for each one of us there!
