The Reproductive Health & Obstetrics Department (formerly the Maternity Home, later the Obstetrics Department, and since 2021, the Reproductive Health & Obstetrics Department) is a clinical unit dedicated to the care of mothers, newborns, and women’s health. The department provides comprehensive reproductive health services, gynecological care, and public health education on family planning. It is staffed by a team of highly trained doctors and midwives, serving Quy Nhon City and neighboring districts with dedication and professionalism

• Gynecological examination and treatment (including infections, menstrual disorders, endocrine issues, breast diseases)

• Cervical cancer screening

• Gynecological and obstetric surgeries (e.g., Bartholin cyst removal, cervical polyp excision, vaginal wall reconstruction, laparoscopic and open surgeries for ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts, fibroids, hysterectomy)

• Prenatal care and management of high-risk pregnancies

• Preconception and prenatal counseling

• Prevention of mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B

• Free hepatitis B and tuberculosis vaccination for newborns

• Breastfeeding guidance

• Monitoring and management of threatened miscarriage, preterm labor, and high-risk pregnancies (e.g., gestational diabetes, preeclampsia)

• Labor and delivery (normal and complicated cases, cesarean section)

• Emergency care for severe obstetric conditions

• Neonatal care, screening for metabolic disorders, early detection of jaundice, and routine newborn vaccinations

The department is equipped with 2 delivery rooms, 3 delivery beds, 2 obstetric monitors, and comprehensive emergency equipment. There are 14 patient rooms (all with private bathrooms and air conditioning) and a total of 60 beds. The staff regularly participate in professional development and scientific research to stay updated with new techniques, including pain management in obstetrics and assisted reproduction (IUI)
