Tay Giang District Health Center is the primary public health institution in the western border region of Quang Nam Province. Established in 2003 and reorganized in 2009 by merging the district general hospital with the preventive health center, it now performs both preventive and curative functions. The center is responsible for protecting, caring for, and improving the health of residents in Tay Giang District as well as cross-border communities in Laos. After overcoming initial challenges, the center has made comprehensive progress in all areas, ensuring better healthcare quality for the local population

The center is praised for its ability to handle complex and emergency cases locally, reducing the need for patient transfers. It also pioneers digital health initiatives, such as using national ID (CCCD) and VNeID for patient management
