About Us :

Tung's Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital was established in 1971 by Dr. Jai-Chin Tung, a respected surgeon dedicated to serving the Shalu, Taichung community at a time when medical resources were scarce. The hospital has grown from a 30-bed facility to a major regional teaching hospital with 1,200 beds. It is strategically located in central Taiwan, only a 6-minute drive from Taichung International Airport, making it highly accessible for both local and international patients. The hospital is committed to respecting life, promoting health, and providing high-quality, patient-centered care to the community and beyond.

Tung's Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital is accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), having passed the initial accreditation in 2008 and maintained it through six subsequent accreditations. The hospital is recognized for its high standards in patient safety, clinical quality, and innovative care. It is also a member of the National Biobank Consortium of Taiwan, contributing to national biomedical research and quality standards.
