About Us :

UnityPoint Health – Blank Children’s Hospital, located in Des Moines, Iowa, is a dedicated pediatric hospital providing comprehensive, family-centered care for children. My son’s surgeon Dr Alexander and his team of doctors; Dr Backowski, and their entire team of nurses and techs on the 3rd and 4th floors are simply the best there is. My son was hospitalized for two weeks with a severe case of appendicitis and the level of care that he received while at Blank Children’s Hospital Unity Point was above and beyond anything that I could ever have imagined. These people and this place now has a permanent place in my heart and in my family’s heart.
