About Us :

University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, founded in 1919 and located in Iowa City, is Iowa’s only comprehensive children’s hospital. It serves children from birth to young adulthood with a full spectrum of care, including wellness, acute illness, trauma, chronic disease, surgery, and developmental disabilities. The hospital is a national leader in pediatric research, education, and innovation, and is affiliated with the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. More than 200 pediatric specialists and over 700 pediatric nurses provide care to more than 70,000 children annually from Iowa, the Midwest, and beyond
