Dr Bai Xiao

Dr. Bai Xiao is an experienced General Practitioner with over 12 years of clinical practice. After completing her MBBS, Dr. Xiao obtained her FRACGP and has worked in various healthcare settings across Australia. With her extensive background in medical and surgical care, Dr. Xiao brings a wealth of experience to her general practice.

Dr. Xiao’s journey began in Sri Lanka, where she worked in a range of specialties, including obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, and emergency medicine. She then moved to Australia and spent six years working in public hospitals, gaining broad clinical exposure in different medical areas.

Since joining The Gardens Medical Group, Dr. Xiao has focused her practice on skin cancer care, where she has become an accredited skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA). Her expertise includes the diagnosis, management, and treatment of melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and benign skin lesions, including the use of radiofrequency techniques for skin lesion removal. In addition to skin cancer care, Dr. Xiao has a strong interest in women’s health, chronic disease management, and children's health.

Dr. Xiao has contributed to research in skin cancer, particularly in the areas of early detection and treatment methodologies. Her research interests include skin cancer screening, immunotherapy in skin cancer, and improving cosmetic outcomes after the surgical removal of skin lesions. She has been involved in clinical studies evaluating the effectiveness of new treatments for skin cancer, and her findings have been published in dermatology journals.
