Dr. Benjamin Dyer is a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in heart failure and cardiac devices. He graduated from Imperial College London in 2007 with a Distinction in Clinical Practice and was awarded the Cheadle Prize for 2nd overall best performance in Clinical Medicine finals. During his undergraduate studies, he undertook an intercalated BSc(Hons) in Cardiovascular Sciences. Dr. Dyer’s clinical training was undertaken in Central and West London with rotations through Hammersmith Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Royal Marsden Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, and he completed his subspecialty training at St George’s Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. He completed a PhD at the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College London, and has undertaken clinical postgraduate study at the University of Zürich, Switzerland. Dr. Dyer was a consultant cardiologist at St Thomas’ Hospital, London before moving to Exeter in 2019. He is a European Heart Rhythm Association-accredited Cardiac Device Specialist and speaks French and Italian.
