Dr. Brian O'Rourke is a Consultant Cardiologist with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. He specializes in coronary intervention and cardiac device therapy. Dr. O'Rourke graduated from the University of Aberdeen Medical School in 1992 and underwent specialist training in cardiology at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital in London. He returned to the West of Scotland in 2005 and was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist & Physician at Hairmyres Hospital. Since taking up this post, he has been involved in numerous service developments while remaining active in research, medical education, and cardiology registrar training. He has been the Lead Cardiologist at Hairmyres since 2009. Dr. O'Rourke offers consultations at Ross Hall Hospital and Ross Hall Clinic Braehead, providing services such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and management of various cardiac conditions.
