Dr Jane Read

Dr. Jane Read is a General Practitioner with over 15 years of experience since completing her MBBS degree at the University of Sydney in 2009. After graduating, Dr. Read spent several years working in General Practice across Sydney, predominantly on the Northern Beaches.

Her clinical interests focus on preventative healthcare, family medicine, and holistic care. Dr. Read enjoys the diverse challenges of general practice, which allows her to build long-term relationships with her patients and help them maintain optimal health.

Dr. Read relocated to Orange in January 2025 with her family, where she now continues her work in General Practice. Her professional satisfaction comes from providing personalized care to individuals and families, addressing both acute and chronic health concerns.

Dr. Read has been involved in research in the areas of preventative healthcare and chronic disease management. Her research includes studies on the effectiveness of early intervention in chronic conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, within general practice settings.

She is also interested in the role of patient education and lifestyle changes in preventing long-term health problems. Dr. Read has worked on community health initiatives, exploring the impact of health promotion programs in rural and regional areas.
