After completing his medical degree, Dr. Cummins undertook a further seven years of advanced physician training, ultimately being inducted into the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 1992.

During his career, Dr. Cummins has honed his expertise as a diagnostician, specializing in wellness and preventative medicine. He has a strong belief that early detection of health conditions can prevent many terminal illnesses, which has led him to develop a holistic wellness practice aimed at helping patients avoid life-threatening conditions. Drawing inspiration from the longest-living cultures, such as the Okinawans and Sardinians, Dr. Cummins has dedicated his practice to optimizing lifestyle and preventative health for his patients.

He also completed a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Minneapolis, USA in 1994 and a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine during his time in the United States, where he worked to improve healthcare practices for young people.
