Dr Jonathan Bala

Dr. Jonathan Bala is a General Practitioner with over 8 years of clinical experience, having graduated with an MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2005. He began practicing in General Medicine in 2011, before relocating to Australia in 2015. Since his move, he has continued to work in general practice, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2020. Dr. Bala has a particular interest in chronic disease management, skin cancer treatment, and musculoskeletal medicine. He has pursued extensive additional training in skin cancer management, earning several certifications through the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA), including Certificates in Skin Cancer Surgery and Dermoscopy. Dr. Bala runs a skin check clinic every Thursday and is skilled in performing most skin cancer excisions, including skin flaps and grafts, as well as removal of lipomas and sebaceous cysts.

Dr. Bala’s primary focus has been on skin cancer and chronic disease management, areas where he continues to expand his knowledge and clinical skills.  Dr. Bala actively applies the latest research and guidelines in his skin cancer treatments and musculoskeletal care. His ongoing professional development in skin cancer surgery and dermoscopy is a direct result of his dedication to staying informed about advancements in the field. Additionally, his work on chronic disease management has made a positive impact on his patients’ health outcomes by ensuring long-term care for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and arthritis.
