Dr. Matthew Lovell is a Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in electrophysiology, focusing on heart rhythm disorders. He qualified from Guy's and St Thomas's Medical School in 1998 and completed a PhD in stem cell biology at the University of London in 2010. Dr. Lovell trained in cardiology at the Royal London Hospital, London Chest Hospital, and St Bartholomew's Hospital, specialising in heart rhythm disorders. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital in 2013. Dr. Lovell is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a member of the British Cardiac Society and the British Heart Rhythm Society.
