Dr Mazharul Islam

Dr. Mazharul Islam is an experienced General Practitioner and skin cancer specialist with over 5 years of expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and surgery. He completed his MBBS at Dhaka Medical College, University of Dhaka, in Bangladesh and migrated to Australia, where he obtained his FRACGP in 2018. Dr. Islam has been practicing in skin cancer medicine since 2019, focusing on the early detection, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of skin cancers.

Dr. Islam holds an Advanced Certificate in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Surgery and continues to update his skills through regular postgraduate training. He is particularly passionate about the surgical aspect of skin cancer treatment, from the initial diagnosis to performing surgical excisions for skin malignancies. Dr. Islam has been working at Border Physicians since 2020, where he manages a variety of skin conditions and provides comprehensive care for skin cancer patients.

Dr. Islam has a keen interest in research focused on skin cancer prevention, early detection, and improved surgical techniques for skin lesion removal. His work in dermoscopy has contributed to enhancing diagnostic accuracy for skin cancers and benign skin conditions. Dr. Islam is also involved in teaching dermatology students and junior doctors, sharing his expertise in skin cancer management and surgical skills.
