Dr Michael Hickman is a highly regarded and experienced adult cardiologist. He sees patients with a wide range of cardiac symptoms and conditions. He specialises in coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, heart failure, pacemaker, and coronary CT. 

Dr Hickman has capitalised on his extensive research experience in complex cardiac imaging to co-found a state-of-the-art cardiac CT service, The Virtual Cath Lab. The accurate and early detection of coronary artery disease is an essential component of contemporary cardiological care. He has developed a service that combines consultant expertise with the latest in CT AI platforms to detect coronary artery changes ranging from the earliest signs of coronary artery disease through to life threatening coronary artery obstruction.

Dr Hickman also has expertise in the implantation of standard and complex cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators. He has undertaken over 1500 pacemaker procedures. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Hickman is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering the next generation of cardiologists.
