Dr. Stephen Cookson is a Consultant Cardiologist with over 20 years of experience, specializing in general cardiology, cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, and echocardiography. He graduated from King’s College London in 2002 with an MBBS and a first-class honours BSc in Radiological Sciences. Dr. Cookson undertook cardiology specialty training in the Wessex region and is recognized as a specialist in both cardiology and general internal medicine. He has been a consultant cardiologist at The Royal Surrey County Hospital since 2015 and is currently the lead for cardiovascular disease at Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System. Dr. Cookson has been involved in developing and implementing patient selection tools for anticoagulation therapy and has received national recognition for his work.
