Dr Stephen Zhao

Dr. Stephen Zhao is an experienced General Practitioner and skin cancer specialist with over 15 years of clinical practice. He graduated from China Medical University in China in 2001 and completed five years of surgical training. Dr. Zhao migrated to Australia in 2006 and worked in several hospitals across Melbourne before settling in Albury in 2012, where he has since dedicated his career to serving the local community.

Dr. Zhao is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds advanced certifications in Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery and Dermatoscopy from the Skin Cancer College Australasia. He also tutors for the Diploma of Dermatoscopy and is an examiner for the College’s clinical examination, helping to train the next generation of skin cancer specialists.

Dr. Zhao has contributed to research in skin cancer diagnosis and dermatology, with a focus on advances in dermatoscopy for early detection of skin malignancies. His work has helped shape better diagnostic tools and treatment protocols for skin cancer care. Dr. Zhao’s research has been part of clinical trials aimed at improving early detection and surgical techniques in skin cancer removal.
