Dr. Steven Podd is a Consultant Cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology and device implantation. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Cambridge, followed by a PhD in cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Podd has extensive experience in the management of arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, and is skilled in the implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices. He joined the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital as a consultant in 2016 and also practices at Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital. Dr. Podd is actively involved in research and has published studies on atrial fibrillation ablation and the use of implantable cardiac monitors.
