Dr Sunita Ubeja

Dr. Sunita Ubeja is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 25 years of practice. She completed her MBBS in 1998 from the University of Sydney and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2004. Throughout her career, Dr. Ubeja has been dedicated to providing comprehensive care across a wide range of general practice services, including preventative health, chronic disease management, and health promotion.

Currently, Dr. Ubeja is actively involved in the Health Care Homes pilot program, where she contributes to a model of care that focuses on improving outcomes for patients with chronic conditions. Additionally, she is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of doctors, regularly working with general practice registrars and medical students from the University of Newcastle. Dr. Ubeja's extensive experience, coupled with her commitment to patient-centered care, makes her a trusted and valued GP in the Maitland community.

Dr. Ubeja has a strong interest in the area of chronic disease management and is currently participating in research initiatives through the Health Care Homes program.
