Dr Timothy Wells is a consultant general and interventional cardiologist based in Bournemouth, Southampton, and Salisbury. He specialises in cardiac screening, cardiac risk, coronary artery disease, angioplasty, heart failure, arrhythmia, blackouts (syncope), valve diseases, hypertension, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).
Dr Wells qualified in 1996 from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, the University of London, having previously earned his BSc in Clinical Pharmacology in 1993. He undertook cardiology training in Wessex and in 2005 he completed an international fellowship in Perth, Australia. He is accredited in percutaneous coronary intervention (stent insertion), pacemaker and defibrillator insertion, and cardiac CT imaging. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
