Dr. Abdellatif Sidi Aly is a prominent Mauritanian nephrologist with extensive expertise in kidney medicine, specializing in dialysis, kidney transplantation, peritoneal dialysis, and urinary stones (lithiase). He is also known for his work in mineral and bone metabolism in kidney diseases.

Born on January 18, 1978, in Nouakchott, Mauritania, he embarked on his medical journey with a Doctorat d'État en Médecine from Université FMPOS Bamako, Mali, in 2005. His specialization in nephrology came through a DES de Néphrologie at Université Mohamed V, Rabat, Morocco, completed in 2010. Further enhancing his expertise, Prof. Sidi Aly pursued various diplomas from prestigious French medical institutions.

He currently serves as a Hospital Practitioner at CHN de Nouakchott, Mauritania, where he holds a key role in nephrology services. His extensive clinical experience spans over 15 years, during which he has significantly contributed to dialysis care, kidney transplantation, and the management of chronic kidney diseases in Mauritania. Prof. Sidi Aly has held leadership positions throughout his career, including serving as the President of the Mauritanian Society of Nephrology (SOMANEPH) and as the Vice-Treasurer of the African Association of Nephrology (AFRAN).
