Dr. Alan Biribo is a pioneering neurosurgeon in Fiji, renowned for his dedication to advancing neurosurgical care in the Pacific region. He completed his MBBS at Fiji National University in 2000 and has since accumulated over two decades of experience in neurosurgery. Dr. Biribo has played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding neurosurgical services in Fiji, including leading the first neurological tumor surgery in Lautoka and the first neuro-spine surgery in Nadi. His commitment to improving health outcomes in the Pacific has been recognized internationally, earning him the President's Medal at the RACS Annual Scientific Congress in 2024. Dr. Biribo is also involved in neurosurgical education and capacity building, serving as a mentor to emerging neurosurgeons in the region.
