Dr. Allan Bank

Dr. Allan Bank has 13 years of experience in ophthalmology, having completed his MBBS in 2008 from the University of Sydney and his FRANZCO (Ophthalmology) in 2016. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Bank worked as an intern and resident in Sydney, gaining experience in general surgery and ophthalmic care.

Dr. Bank specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma management, retinal disease treatments, pediatric ophthalmology, and oculoplastic surgery. He has extensive experience performing laser-assisted cataract surgeries and treating complex cases of glaucoma with minimally invasive techniques. His expertise also extends to pediatric ophthalmology, particularly managing amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (crossed eyes) in children.

Since relocating to Wagga Wagga in 2018, Dr. Bank has been offering comprehensive eye care to the local community, including routine eye exams, advanced surgeries, and management of chronic eye diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

Dr. Bank has contributed to several ophthalmology research projects, particularly in cataract surgery, glaucoma treatments, and retinal diseases. His research has focused on innovative cataract surgery techniques, early detection and management of glaucoma, and advances in retinal imaging. Dr. Bank has worked on research aimed at improving patient outcomes in glaucoma treatments and diabetic retinopathy care.
