Dr. Andrew Apel

Dr. Andrew Apel has 12 years of experience in ophthalmology, having completed his MBBS in 2008 from the University of Sydney and his FRANZCO (Ophthalmology) in 2016. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Apel worked as an intern and resident in Sydney, gaining broad experience in general medicine and surgical procedures.

In 2016, Dr. Apel became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO), specializing in ophthalmology. His areas of expertise include cataract surgery, glaucoma management, retinal disease treatment, corneal transplantation, and pediatric ophthalmology. He has performed numerous complex cataract surgeries, laser treatments for glaucoma, and retinal surgeries, including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy treatments.

Dr. Apel moved to Wagga Wagga in 2017, where he has been providing high-quality eye care services, including routine eye exams, surgical interventions, and management of chronic eye conditions. He also specializes in pediatric eye care, treating conditions like strabismus and amblyopia.
