Dr. Ashish Kotecha is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist based in Devon, UK. He completed his early training in Cardiology in London, South Wales, and Manchester, before moving to Southwest England for his specialist Cardiology clinical training. He successfully completed the prestigious Bournemouth Advanced Interventional Cardiology Fellowship programme. Dr. Kotecha was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Somerset, in 2017, and then moved back to Devon when appointed as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in November 2018. He undertakes a range of cardiac procedures, including coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty with stent implantation, and DC cardioversion for atrial fibrillation. He contributes to the 24/7 acute heart attack primary angioplasty service. Dr. Kotecha has a particular interest in intracoronary imaging modalities and complex coronary interventions, including for opening up chronic total occlusions of the arteries.
