Experience

Dr. Craig Lilienthal has over 30 years of experience in General Practice. After completing his MBBS at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 1970, Dr. Lilienthal worked as a GP in the small rural town of West Wyalong, in central NSW, for 10 years. His work in rural health gave him extensive experience in mental health, chronic disease management, and women’s health. After returning to Sydney, Dr. Lilienthal spent 20 years working in corporate medicine, serving as a medico-legal advisor and medical administrator, and making significant contributions to medical governance and policy.

In 2000, Dr. Lilienthal returned to general practice in Bowral, where he spent 7 years managing a wide range of medical conditions, with particular interest in men’s health, mental health, and preventative care. He holds Fellowships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM), reflecting his expertise in rural healthcare and family medicine.
