Dr. Fernando has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. After graduating in 1988, he worked in Victoria, where he gained significant exposure to various specialties in hospital settings. He then transitioned into general practice and worked in a variety of medical environments internationally, including Sri Lanka and South East Asia, where he developed expertise in emergency medicine, anesthesia, and ICU care.

Dr. Fernando joined the Coffs Coast GP Superclinic team after years of honing his skills in pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, rural medicine, and disaster management. He has developed a passion for delivering holistic healthcare that is culturally sensitive and based on the needs of the local population. His approach to general practice focuses on patient-centered care, emphasizing preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and mental health.
