Dr. Gonzalo Moratorio

Dr. Gonzalo Moratorio is an accomplished Virologist with over 16 years of experience in virus research, viral infections, and molecular virology. After completing his MD in Virology from  University of Montenegro, Faculty of Mediciner in 2005, Dr. Moratorio has become a leading expert in viral diseases in Uruguay and globally.

With 16+ years of research and clinical experience, Dr. Moratorio specializes in studying the mechanisms of viral infections, virus-host interactions, and developing innovative antiviral therapies. His expertise lies in understanding how viruses like influenza, HIV, and coronaviruses evolve and impact human health. He has also been at the forefront of epidemic response and viral research projects.
