After graduating with honors from Addis Ababa University, she pursued further training in Global Health at King’s College London and public health leadership at Harvard. As Program Lead at the Center for Advancing Point of Care, her visionary research, capacity-building programs, and international collaborations have driven breakthroughs in access to diagnostics, safe surgery, and maternal health. Dr. Heaven’s prolific research and advocacy in global surgery and gender equity shape national policy and inspire young clinicians to advance health justice throughout Africa and beyond
