Dr. Hemakshi Basu had done post her graduation in Physiotherapy, started her career in Jan 1994, at some of the leading hospitals in Mumbai, after which, she enrolled for a post grad Manual Therapy Course, a specialized field of Physiotherapy at University of South Australia, Adelaide. On her return joined back at Sir H. N. Hospital where she now had a special unit for treating and managing musculoskeletal patients. Hemakshi's keen interest in sharing knowledge and industry building coupled with the drive to change perceptions about physiotherapy led to conducting a series of workshops, in diverse subjects of physiotherapy. Subsequently became a founder member of the Academy of Rehab Sciences, an organization that conducts workshops to update and enhances knowledge and skills of fellow Physiotherapists.In 2001, Hemakshi eventually started her own consultation, at Juhu, wherein, over the years she has treated diverse patient profiles including leading sports, movie and television celebrities, in addition to renowned corporate personalities and public figures using an integrated approach -Evaluation | Recovery | Prevention | Enhancement.
