Dr. Irfan Qadir

Dr. Irfan Qadir is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon with advanced training in trauma, arthroscopy, and joint replacement surgery. Since 2021, he has been serving as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital, where he leads complex orthopedic procedures and trauma care. He concurrently holds academic and clinical roles as a Senior Registrar at Nishtar Medical University (since 2022) and Tayyab Erdogan Hospital / Indus Hospital Muzaffargarh, contributing to both patient care and postgraduate training. With over a decade of surgical experience, Dr. Qadir is widely respected for his proficiency in managing fractures, dislocations, joint replacements, arthroscopic interventions, pediatric orthopedic issues, and complex deformity corrections using Ilizarov techniques.

Dr. Qadir has actively contributed to orthopedic research, particularly in the areas of joint reconstruction, pediatric deformities, and trauma management. His work includes observational studies on outcomes of total knee and hip replacements in post-traumatic arthritis, as well as the efficacy of Ilizarov fixators in chronic non-unions. He is also involved in academic research related to surgical education and skill assessment as part of his MHPE training, with a focus on enhancing orthopedic training standards in Pakistan.

Dr. Irfan Qadir has authored and co-authored several clinical papers, including “Outcomes of Ilizarov Fixation in Non-Union Tibial Fractures” published in the Pakistan Orthopedic Journal (2021), and “Pediatric Elbow Fractures: Surgical Techniques and Complications” in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics Pakistan (2022). He is also contributing to upcoming publications in arthroscopic knee surgery and competency-based orthopedic training programs, furthering the integration of surgical practice and education.
