Dr. Luba was born and raised in New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. There she also rowed crew for four years, serving as co-captain during her senior year and earning the Rutgers Scholar Athlete Award. Dr. Luba received her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in the top of her class. After medical school, Dr. Luba completed three years of training in Family Medicine at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix and served as chief resident during her third year. She continued at Good Samaritan as a faculty member and completed a fellowship in Faculty Development at the University of Arizona. During her fellowship, Dr. Luba wrote a review article published in American Family Physician. Dr. Luba has a special interest in dermatology, but also enjoys the full spectrum of family medicine including preventive care and chronic illnesses. Dr. Luba is married with two children. She enjoys a variety of activities outside of medicine including marathon running, book clubs and traveling. Dr. Luba has been honored three times by Phoenix magazine to be selected in their annual lists of the Valley's Top Docs, first in 2009, and again in 2011 and 2012. In 2011, Dr. Luba had the distinct honor of being the top vote getter for Family Practice. Dr. Luba was honored by US News and World Report when she was named as one of nine Top Doctors in Family Medicine for Phoenix in 2012.
