Dr. Mark Haber is an internationally-recognized shoulder specialist with over 35 years of experience. He graduated with his MBBS from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 1982, before going on to complete his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1995.
Dr. Haber is a pioneer in the field of shoulder surgery, particularly known for his expertise in arthroscopic shoulder procedures, including rotator cuff and labral repairs. He has performed over 2000 shoulder arthroscopies and developed advanced modified techniques that are now used globally in Europe, Asia, and the US.
In January 2017, Dr. Haber made history by becoming the first surgeon in Australia to perform computer-assisted shoulder surgery, which has led to him being internationally recognized as one of the foremost authorities on computer-navigated shoulder surgery.
He continues to teach and mentor surgeons worldwide, frequently welcoming both domestic and international visitors to observe his surgical techniques. Dr. Haber is also actively involved in research, focusing on biomechanical studies and postoperative evaluations, aiming to optimize surgical procedures and rehabilitation processes.
