Dr. Michael Wachowsky is the Head of the Department of Pediatric, Adolescent and Neuro Orthopedics - one of the oldest and most traditional departments in Germany. In interdisciplinary cooperation with neurology, therapists and orthopedic and rehabilitation technology, a comprehensive range of therapy and treatment can be offered: CT-guided thermocoagulation of osteoid osteoma, in-house orthopedic workshop and shoe technology, conservative and surgical treatment of patients with infantile cerebral palsy, including botulinum toxin therapy, interdisciplinary center for the treatment of people with multiple disabilities. In the course of his medical career, Dr. Wachowsky has gained decades of experience in pediatric orthopedics and is considered a renowned specialist in Germany in the treatment of children and adolescents with congenital or acquired diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as people of all ages with orthopedic problems related to nerve and muscle disorders. In addition to state-of-the-art equipment and procedures such as computer-assisted 3D motion analysis, new motion therapy and orthopedic technology options, and minimally invasive and load-stabilized surgical techniques, Sana Krankenhaus Rummelsberg offers in-house orthopedic workshops and a clinical gait analysis laboratory. Dr. Wachowsky is not only interested in a gentle and sustainable treatment of the child, but also involving the family within the process.
