Prof. Dr. med. Richard Stangl is the Medical Director and Head of the Department of Trauma, Shoulder, and Reconstruction Surgery, Sports Medicine and Sports Traumatology at Rummelsberg Hospital.  Under the direction of Prof. Stangl, Orthopedics in Rummelsberg has been on the Focus List for years (Focus Top National Hospital Orthopedics 2013-2019). The team deals with the consequences of accidents on all parts of the body in patients of all ages, and at any time following an accident. All standard methods are used for diagnosis and therapy, including intraoperative 3D imaging, navigation, arthroscopic, endoprosthetic, biological augmentation procedures, microsurgical techniques as well as cartilage and bone cell transplants.
