Dr. Michelle Baker

Dr. Michelle Baker has 12 years of experience in ophthalmology, having completed her MBBS in 2009 from the University of Sydney and her FRANZCO (Ophthalmology) in 2017. After completing her medical degree, Dr. Baker worked as an intern and resident in Sydney, gaining experience in general medicine and ophthalmic care.

Dr. Baker specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, retinal disease treatments, pediatric ophthalmology, and oculoplastic surgery. She has extensive experience performing cataract surgeries, including laser-assisted cataract surgery, and treating glaucoma with cutting-edge laser therapies. Additionally, she is skilled in managing retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Dr. Baker also specializes in pediatric ophthalmology, treating conditions like strabismus (crossed eyes) and amblyopia (lazy eye) in children.

Since moving to Wagga Wagga in 2018, Dr. Baker has been providing comprehensive eye care services to the local community, including eye exams, surgical interventions, and management of chronic eye diseases.

Dr. Baker has contributed to several ophthalmic research projects, particularly in the areas of cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and retinal diseases. Her research has focused on innovations in cataract surgery, advances in glaucoma treatments, and early interventions for retinal diseases.
