Dr. Noorali Bharwani has been actively involved in nephrology research, focusing on chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis treatments, and renal transplantation. His studies have contributed to improving early-stage detection methods for CKD and the development of more effective dialysis techniques. Dr. Bharwani has published several peer-reviewed papers on managing renal diseases in diabetic patients and improving outcomes for kidney transplant recipients. He is currently involved in a multi-center research project investigating new therapies for managing advanced kidney failure.

Noorali was born and raised in Musoma, Tanzania, East Africa.
He finished high school in Tanzania and went to India for medical education. He studied in Poona and Patna and attained his medical degree from the University of Patna in 1971.
He came to the United Kingdom for surgical training. In 1979, he was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
He is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London, England and Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons of London, England.
He came to Canada in 1979. He worked as a Research Fellow of the National Cancer Institute of Canada. He was with Dr. Martin Jerry at the Oncology Research Group, University of Calgary. He was also a Scientific and Research Associate at the Southern Alberta Cancer Centre.
Noorali then became a Surgical Resident at the University of Alberta and was elected fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 1984 and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1989. He is also a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada.
Noorali has practiced as a general surgeon since 1984. After a year in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Noorali moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta.
