Dr. Perveen Aslam

Dr. Perveen Aslam has 12 years of experience in gastroenterology, having completed her MBBS in 2009 from the University of Sydney and her FRACP (Gastroenterology) in 2017. After completing her medical degree, Dr. Aslam worked as an intern and resident at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Westmead Hospital, gaining experience in general medicine and specialized gastroenterology care.

Dr. Aslam specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), with particular interest in chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and colorectal cancer. She has extensive experience in performing endoscopies, managing gastrointestinal conditions like acid reflux, IBD, liver diseases, and pancreatitis, and treating complex cases of hepatitis.

Since relocating to Wagga Wagga in 2018, Dr. Aslam has been providing advanced gastroenterological care to the local community. She has expertise in screening for colorectal cancer, treating liver cirrhosis, and managing complex digestive disorders such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

Dr. Aslam has participated in gastroenterology research, focusing on chronic liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and colorectal cancer. Her research has contributed to understanding the pathophysiology of liver cirrhosis, hepatitis B and C, and IBD treatments. Dr. Aslam has collaborated in research aimed at improving treatments for IBD and developing early detection strategies for gastrointestinal cancers.
